Approximately 3.9 million of those are dogs and 3.4 million are cats.
1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats are euthanized every year in the United States.
PetFinder helps people find dogs and cats to adopt in nearby shelters.
Working as a freelance design contractor, I created designs to modernize their web experience and make it easier for pets to find their forever homes.
The home page features the neediest pets from around the country, but you can also search for pets by breed, size, and other criteria.
It was designed for responsive viewing across mobile, tablet, and desktop web browsers.
