Panasonic In-Flight Entertainment System
Panasonic partners with its airline customers to develop the world's best in-flight entertainment (IFE) experiences. While working at Teague, I helped Panasonic create a handheld media player and a touchscreen All-In-One concept that combines passenger controls, such as call attendant and lighting functions, with entertainment features. For both devices, I designed and prototyped some software running on Adobe Flash that was integrated into working hardware demos.
The handheld media player went into production in early 2006 and was ordered by Mexicana and other airlines as a rugged, easy to use, and low cost entertainment solution. It also won an IDSA Northwest Invitational, Good Design, and Red Dot Award.
